What is F4P Opportunity Capital?

F4P Opportunity Capital is a joint initiative between Izani and F4P Impact Finance that supports mobile phone repairers and tech micro-entrepreneurs to grow sustainable, profitable businesses. It is a proudly alumni-led initiative run by women and youth who graduate from Izani’s IT Repairs and Tech Entrepreneurship programmes to access:

  • Affordable high-quality parts

  • Business coaching and business development support

  • Inventory-based capital and shop investment

  • Market access through Techafon.com

What Is Techafon.com?

Techafon.com is the buying-and-selling platform that powers F4P Opportunity Capital. It wasdeveloped to make stock access easier for local technicians.

Through Techafon, entrepreneurs can:

  • Buy affordable, good-quality IT parts, tools, accessories, and refurbished devices

  • Use a Techafon Wallet Limit (linked to F4P Opportunity Capital) to buy stock on credit

  • List and sell refurbished devices through the platform

  • Automatically track purchases and sales

Techafon.com is the digital backbone of the programme, reducing risk, improving access, and helping technicians grow their businesses.

How it works

There are two Pathways to Grow Your Business through F4P Opportunity Capital:

Repair-to-Own Partnership Incubator

This model is ideal for high-performing alumni who are ready to co-manage and eventually own a full mobile-repair shop.

F4P provides shop rental for a specified period, branding, tools, starter inventory, POS and bookkeeping support, supplier coordination through techafon.com and business coaching, while the entrepreneur focuses on running the business and growing their business skills. Once the investment is recovered, the shop becomes fully alumni-owned.

Inventory Loan Pathway (F4P Opportunity Capital Wallet)

This is a revolving stock-credit facility for independent repairers.

Approved participants get a Techafon Wallet Limit (R1,000–R5,000 during the pilot), buy approved stock only (screens, batteries, tools, accessories) and repay over 30–90 days so others can benefit.

This model supports alumni through coaching and mentorship to maintain stock, improve cashflow, and stabilise income.
